Location, Location: It’s all in the heart of the city

I stumbled across a random press release today informing me that:
Virtus Advanced Sensors (VAS) has recently established a wholly-owned subsidiary in Tokyo, Japan, Virtus Japan Kabushiki Kaisha (K.K.). Virtus Japan offices will be located at the Tennoz Central Tower building on Tennoz Island, next to the Shinagawa area in the heart of downtown Tokyo.
I hope they mean that the Shinagawa area is “in the heart of downtown Tokyo,” since although that’s not true, it’s less untrue than saying that Tennozu Airu is in the heart of downtown Tokyo. Here’s a good rendition of the area from Google Maps: Tennozu Airu is in the center of the page.
If you’re a foreigner living in Tokyo, there’s another building in the image that I’m sure is dear to your heart. On another note, has anyone else out there played at the Tennozu Park soccer field?
At any rate, the press release also lets us know how Virtus Japan will be funded:
Innovation Engine, Japan`s largest MEMS and nanotechnology venture capital group has committed at least $1m in capital to Virtus and will be the lead VC in Japan for the company in its current funding round… Innovation Engine is a Tokyo-based venture capital fund, managing over $60m in investment capital targeting key emerging technologies. Limited partners include Mizuho Bank, Mizuho Capital Ventures, Orix Capital, Ricoh, Fuji Electric, Micronics Japan, Marubeni, Rakuten, Yasuda Development, Cosmo Securities, Toyo Securities, Resona Bank, Aozora Bank, and the Organization for SMEs and Regional Innovation in Japan.
By the way, MEMS stands for “Micro Electro-Mechanical Systems.”

Got something to say?

OK, I’m lost. What’s the building I’m supposed to be seeing? You said dear to my heart, but I don’t see a Mister Donut anywhere in that picture.
