Ishihara: Tokyo to bid for 2020 Olympics
November 9, 2009
By Ken Worsley
Those who felt that Tokyo’s failed bid for the 2016 Summer Olympics was a colossal waste of $48 million are surely going to groan at today’s headline: Tokyo to bid for 2020 Summer Olympics: Gov Ishihara.
I wonder how this works now that the DPJ is in charge of the Tokyo Metropolitan Assembly. Do they have the power or desire to stand up to Ishihara?

How the hell do the Japanese expect to host the para-olympics? I see people not giving others a seat on the train everyday who are injured, pregnant, too old to walk, etc. In addition, are they going to carry the people in wheelchairs up the stairs at stations with no elevators? The Japanese people will be exposed for their selfeshness and lack of awareness to the handicapped community.
